No Words

Today I say a prayer for the families in Newton, Connecticut, as a parent and a teacher my heart is saddened beyond words.

Some Classroom Organization

I have been working to get my classroom organized with the items that I use and to let go of the things that I haven't used in the last couple of years. So here are some pics of my cabinets in my classroom. I am still working on them but they are much better than they were.

Classroom update and Schedule Cards

This year my classroom has a superhero theme and I have been able to find lots a great inspiration and printables through Pinterest and TPT. Here are two of my finds, I will post more later along with some pics of my classroom.

My fellow teacher and I are using the same theme and I found a Superhero Hunt here at Teaming up to Teach. This was a great way to show our students around the school. We had a huge surprise when we returned to our classroom and found a superhero snack. Here is a picture of  what they look like:

I am also planning on using the Daily five   in my clasrroom this year and found these free cards to go with this @ Primary Graffit and they look like this:

I also wanted to let everyone know that Cara at The First Grade Parde has updated her schedule cards and they are still free on her TPT store. I am leaving the link to her store below and you can click  here to visit her blog.

Organizing a plan of action

It's that time of year again when we start buying new school supplies and begin the final touches on our classrooms. I have spent several weeks try to better organize my classroom. I am very excited with the results so far but I still have a few things to finish up. I will try to take some pictures of things I have used to organize my classroom and follow up with how they are woking out for me.

Organization is the goal for the year! Along with all the teachy stuff.
